Thigh Lift
After weight loss, many patients have excess skin along their inner thighs. This area is not corrected by an abdominoplasty or a "lower body lift." Liposuction does not offer an adequate correction, because there still remains excess skin.
The excess tissue in this area is removed and the scar is hidden in the groin. The result is improved contour of the inner thighs - extending from the groin to the knees. This procedure may be combined with other body contouring procedures.
Body + After Weight Loss + Thigh Lift 1 + Thigh Lift 2 + Thigh Lift 3
This woman lost over 100 pounds after a gastric bypass. She disliked the excess skin along her inner thighs. She underwent a medial thigh lift which removed this excess skin. The scar was placed in a hidden area - completely within her groin crease. Notice the improved contour that extends from the inner thigh to her knees.

Yes. Often liposuction is combined with many procedures to increase the effect of the surgery. In some patients with only a small amount of excess tissue in the inner thighs, liposuction alone may provide adequate correction.
Usually the scar can be hidden in the groin crease. In some patients, especially after massive weight loss, the excess skin extends to the knee. To adequately address this situation, a vertical scar will be present along the inner upper thigh.
Usually not. In general, drains are not required after a thigh lift. However, your surgeon may elect to place drains in certain situations, such as in a case where excessive skin is removed.
No. A Lower Body Lift incorporates a tummy tuck, buttock lift, and OUTER thigh lift. The inner thighs will only be minimally improved with a Lower Body Lift. A separate INNER thigh lift is often necessary.
