Sculptra™ - for facial volumizing

As we age, there is descent or "sagging" of our facial skin which results in the classic signs of aging around the cheeks, under eyes, and jaw line. However, there is also loss of facial fat which results in flattening on the cheekbones and loss of the soft curves of the youthful face.

At Madison Avenue Plastic Surgery, we recognize that it is this "loss of volume" that leads to "sagging" of the facial tissues and the most common signs of an aging face. Our experience with new injectable products such as Sculptra™ allows us to "volumize" the face, restoring the curves of a youthful face. This "non-surgical" approach to the aging face is a simple office procedure, with effects that can last for years.

This approach can correct early signs of facial aging or add facial volume to those that desire more prominent facial features such as larger cheeks or chins. It is also successful in reducing under-eye hollows. Additionally, Sculptra can aid in the replacement of facial fat that has been lost after weight loss or chronic illness.

Dr. Skolnik and Dr. Schulman have been using Sculptra™ since its arrival in the United States and have one of the largest series of patients injected with this product. Dr. Skolnik and Dr. Schulman have advanced training in injection techniques, allowing them to treat difficult areas, such as around the eyes and within "tear troughs." They also have experience injecting Sculptra™ in the body and have published their experience using this product in the breast - you can read this article in the press section (The Breast Journal).
