Upper Eyelids

Some of the earliest signs of aging begins with a change in the appearance of the eyelids. Because of the thinness of the skin, the eyelids are very susceptible to the aging process. Eyelid surgery must be performed meticulously and must ALWAYS appear natural. It must be individualized to each patient, especially as the expectations of eyelid surgery are quite different among Men and Women. Correction of the eyelids may include procedures for the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, or both.

The most common cosmetic problem of the upper eyelids is excess skin which may be associated with excess fat. The eyes appear smaller and for women the application of eye shadow and liner becomes more and more difficult. The eyelids may even feel "heavy" as this progresses. With removal of the excess skin and fat of the upper eyelid, a clean-appearing eyelid can be achieved. When done correctly, the eyelid should NEVER appear hollowed out.

Upper eyelid surgery can successfully take years off your appearance and refresh your face.
